We all know how sensitive a sphynx cat's skin can be and we worry about sun burn. This fabric is a beautiful polyester (not a slinky nylon bathing suit fabric) sun protection fabric.  All of our Sun protection fabrics are tested and gauranteed at UV 50 + and will provide maximun protection. That said, exercising caution while outside or sunbathing in a window is still necessary.

Tips for sizing.  If your shirt only covers half way down the back and has gaping room in the neck, you will still be prone to burns on the uncovered areas.  You want to be as high up on the neck and as close to the tailbone as possible.  (See the photo of Tater in the additional photos in this listing.). Pair this shirt with a brimmed hat, and you will have good protection except the ears, tail, and legs. Other protective measures include staying indoors during peak sun hours, consider tinted window coverings on high sun areas, and always error on the side of caution.  Sunburns unfortunately are common and very painful for a sphynx cat.

Remember, Tweeners are usually large kittens about 5-7 months or 5-7 lbs.  This size is very narrow because at this age, they are usually long and thin.  Most adults, even if they are in this weight range, are fuller in the neck and shoulder area.
